NYC Weather: Lingering Rain Will Soak City Into Weekend

Rain, rain, won't go away for New Yorkers. The National Weather Service has predicted that rain will continue to rain across New York City into Friday, with a 100% chance of precipitation predicted for the weekend. The weather is expected to return to the scene with temperatures reaching 51 degrees. The National Weather Services predicts that up to a half inch of rain could fall on Thursday night, with showers expected to peak at 1 p.m. Friday's showers are expected to taper about 1 pm. However, rain will return to New York on Saturday and then return Sunday with a 90 percent chance of rain. The prolonged wet weather is likely to clear up remaining slushy snow from recent snowstorms.
