Rush Hour NYC Subway Delays Hit Several Lines

Take notice, straphangers heading home Wednesday afternoon. The New York City subway system experienced several delays during rush hour due to work and track maintenance. Trains headed downtown along the 4 and 5 lines were delayed due to a train that had its brakes activated at 138th Street-Grand Concourse station, and F trains headed north saw delays due to track work near 18th Avenue. N, R and W trains also experienced delays, largely due to disruptions from disruptive passengers. The MTA has removed the ability to reply on its site as part of its work to address issues.
