New York City's Cherry Blossom Season is already reaching peak bloom, with some trees in Brooklyn Botanic Garden and the west side of Central Park Reservoir already in bloom. Depending on the variety of ornamental cherry trees, they will be in bloom between late March and mid-April. Sara Evans, senior manager and curator of The Green-Wood Cemetery, recommended multiple visits throughout the season to see the blooms in their full variety.

In fact, some individual trees in Brooklyn Botanic Garden and the west side of Central Park Reservoir are already in peak bloom. But New Yorkers shouldn't be worried about missing the extravaganza, or at least not yet.

Ornamental cherry trees, depending on the variety, will be in bloom between late March and mid-April. "The anticipation of when peak bloom is going to happen, we can never know because there’s so many variables," Sara Evans, senior manager and curator of the living collection at The Green-Wood Cemetery, told Patch last season.
