Richard Louis, a 35-year-old MTA employee, was arrested Tuesday after cops said he walked through an emergency gate at the Myrtle-Wyckoff L train station without paying the fare. An NYPD spokesperson said Louis refused to identify himself, even as an MTA employee, when cops stopped him about 3 p.m.

Louis' stone-walling apparently wasn't taken well by officers, who arrested him on requested charges of obstruction and fare evasion, authorities said. Police said he also resisted arrest during the confrontation in the station on the border of Bushwick and Ridgewood. MTA officials didn't return a request for comment as of publication.

The arrest came a day after NYPD officials announced "Operation Fare Play," an 800-cop surge in the subway system to fight farebeating.
