An off-duty children's services worker was charged with assault after a brawl with another woman outside a hospital on Monday, police said. Off-duty children's services worker, Michelle Molette, a special officer for the Administration for Children’s Services (ACS), has been charged with assault after a brawl outside a medical facility in East New York. The brawl reportedly occurred outside a dermatology facility and escalated when the two women shoved each other in the face, but did not require medical attention at the scene. The incident reportedly occurred over line cutting at the medical facility. Molette and Angelita Paton Bacchus were both charged and issued desk appearance tickets. The ACS has since reassigned the staff member to administrative duty and removed the ability to reply as they investigate the incident.

BROOKLYN, NY - An off-duty children’s services worker was charged with assault after a brawl with another woman outside a medical facility on Monday, authorities said.

Michelle Molette, 58, a special officer for the Administration for Children’s Services (ACS), was observed disputing with Angelita Paton Bacchus, 49, outside a dermatology facility at 101 Pennsylvania Ave. in East New York about 1:33 p.m., prompting a 911 call from a bystander, police said. The women reportedly shoved each other in the face, but refused medical attention at the scene, police said.

The pair were subsequently charged with assault and issued desk appearance tickets, police said. The dispute reportedly arose over line cutting at the medical facility. “We have high standards for our employees, and we take this allegation seriously. We are aware of an incident and have reassigned the staff person to administrative duty as we gather more facts,” An ACS spokesperson told Patch.
