MTA Approves $15 Congestion Pricing Toll For Manhattan
The historic 11-1 vote gives the final greenlight to the nation's first congestion pricing program. MTA board members voted 11-1 to approve a $15 congestion pricing structure for Manhattan, which includes a toll for most vehicles entering Manhattan at 60th Street and below. The decision is supported by board member Blanca López, who supports the action to reduce traffic congestion, increase pedestrian safety, reduce traffic violence, and make the city less car dependent.

MTA board members voted 11-1 Wednesday to approve a congestion pricing structure that includes a $15 toll for most vehicles to enter Manhattan at 60th Street and below.
"I fully support taking action to unclog city streets, to increase pedestrian safety, to reduce traffic violence, to improve our health and air that we breathe, and to make our city less car dependent," said board member Blanca López.
