NYC Weather: Nor'easter Will Soak City For 3 Days Of Rain

Heavy snow expected further north will skip the Big Apple in favor of soaking rain, forecasters said. Three days of rain are expected to begin on Tuesday, with a 100 percent chance of precipitation, along with potential thunderstorms and 37 mph wind gusts. This is part of a major nor'easter expected to hit much of the East Coast, including Boston and New York City from Tuesday to Thursday. However, there is a chance of heavy snowfall across a wide swath of states, from Wisconsin to northern Illinois and Indiana and into Pennsylvania and upstate New York. The National Weather Service predicts that the rain will fall to 60 percent Thursday before leaving the forecast altogether Friday and the weekend.
